Roundhay St. John’s Church Of England Primary School
‘Inspired by Jesus’ promise of life in all its fullness, Roundhay St John’s Church of England Primary School aims to provide education of the highest quality within a Christian context.’
Roundhay St. John’s CE Primary School is located in Roundhay, a well established and popular suburb of north Leeds. The school has a long and rich history having been founded in 1837; it is one of the oldest schools in the City of Leeds, albeit located on a different site until 1992 when it moved to purpose built accommodation. Roundhay St. John’s enjoys strong and close relationships with the local church and community.
The school has a teaching Head, Mr Andrew Graham and a Local Academy Council made up of parents, staff, foundation governors including the incumbent of the local church and community governors, chaired by Rev. Dr. George Bailey.
The school benefits from working collaboratively with other schools in the Trust to ensure high quality teaching across all curriculum subjects; however, the curriculum is bespoke to the school meeting the specific needs of the children within its classes. All Roundhay St. John’s children have their own class teacher.
