St Peter's Church of England Primary School
'Encourage one another and help one another just as you are now doing.' Good News Bible. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
St. Peter’s CE Primary School is located in Burmantofts, close to the centre of Leeds. The school has a long and rich history having been founded in 1812, it has an eclectic mix of cultures, faiths, backgrounds and with around 23 different languages spoken, it embraces the diverse needs of the families it serves to ensure that children make excellent progress. St. Peter’s enjoys strong and close relationships with the local church and community.
The school has a teaching Head, Mrs Liz Holliday and a Local Academy Council made up of parents, staff, foundation governors and community governors, chaired by Ali Johnson.
The school benefits from working collaboratively with other schools in the Trust to ensure high quality teaching across all curriculum subjects; however, the curriculum is bespoke to the school meeting the specific needs of the children within its classes. All St. Peter’s children have their own class teacher.
